House of Wax

So...all my resolutions so far have been broken/not kept up. Sitting here digesting a nice Vanilla Coke and feeling that the broken resolution was absolutely worth it. Hell, I never really liked the idea that resolutions had to start at the first of the year anyway. It's the same logic in thinking that the year 2000 somehow has some sort of magical meaning of significance to it over another year like 2003 because it's a nice, big round number that's divisible by 10. I'll get back on track, though. I guess. Also lost pretty bad at a friend's poker game last weekend. Took last place out of 8 without ever winning a hand, and the worst part about that is that when you're out that early you still have to watch all the other hands while thinking "I would play it like this...".

But all that aside! Taje and I, on MLK day, went to Madame Tussauds' wax museum in DC. It was a pretty nice experience seeing all the life like celebrities and politicians and such. Everything was done in such detail and perfection, especially the figures of those people still living (thanks to modern technology). The care they gave to designing these was such that every sculptures hair was INDIVIDUALLY placed in their hair, dyed, and done up. Here's a sampling of some of the photos we took:

If you want to see all the pictures here's a link to the entire album. Some of these I really enjoyed taking and looking at. ALBUM HERE!

So, yes, it was really an enjoyable outing for us. The one thing that kept going through my mind, while looking at all these real-life figures, was that while sitting next to one they would suddenly grab me and say "Boo!" a la Osbourne.
